The Ideal technical support engineer should have the following experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working within a 2nd line support environment.
  • Experience of; Dell hardware, Windows 7, 8.1 & 10 operating systems.
  • Experience of a VMWare or Citrix environment
  • Backup software and strategies in a VEEAM & Netbackup environment
  • Software applications such as Microsoft Office, patching operating systems and supporting in-house applications
  • Installation of operating systems and software
  • Troubleshooting software and operating system errors
  • Experienced in meeting Service Level Agreements
  • Experience in Active Directory administration
  • Demonstrable PC hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Support for Android & Apple mobile devices
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills – verbal and written communication
  • Discretion and initiative in dealing with matters of a confidential or sensitive nature
